Ask has launched a service called BigNews, Search Engine Land reports. It"s a bit like Google News -- automatically aggregating stories from thousands of sources -- but emphasizes a "BigFactor" score assigned to every story. (The BigFactor number looks a bit like the icon next to stories at Digg, but you can"t actually add a digg... and as such, I wonder what it"s doing in the interface in the first place.)
I find the BigNews homepage good-looking but slightly on the cluttered & confusing side, but then again I"m also not using the Google News homepage either, just Google News search. And BigNews" search feature indeed may become usef ...
